Simba has now become the new king of the Pride Lands with Nala ruling beside him as his queen, the two have a daughter named, Kiara together and they are expecting their next cub. Simba goes to help Nala give birth to her second born cub. During a rainstorm, Rafiki tells Kiara a story on how Mufasa, a young cub separated from his family, who has been placed under Taka and his parent's care. Rafiki soon reveals how close Mufasa and Taka were as brothers. However, the brothers have to go to Milele on their own since Kiros and his pride, known as the Outsiders, have claimed the lives of the lions, including Obasi and Eshe. Along the way, the brothers are accompanied by Sarabi, a female lioness; and her hornbill friend, Zazu to find Milele. However, Mufasa and Taka's loyalty and brother-hood towards each other will be put to the test.
