Local guide Nico constantly out-stages his colleague, laid-off college classicist professor Georgia, by giving in to tourist futilities rather than promoting Ancient finesses, hence gets the easy, lucrative 'good groups', while she's generally stuck with seniors, Americans, frat types, divorcees... They're all on her next tour in and around Athens, plus a tacky new driver nicknamed 'Poupi', named Kakas, and the cynical 'fun guy', widower Irv. However both have a romantic eye on her and stimulate her to give Nico a run for the tourists' dumb money, enough to finally impress the tour firm manager, and it becomes fun, just now a US academic job becomes available.
