Catherine and Bernard's marriage hasn't been what it used to be for a long time. The couple live past each other, but maintain a facade of contentment on the outside and in front of each other. Catherine has suspected for some time that her husband is cheating on her. When she finally finds proof of an affair in his voicemail, she confronts him: it turns out that her husband has frequent love affairs during his work trips.
