During the early days of the Korean War, U.S. Army colonel Steve Janowski is one of the military advisers training the South Korean army and he's tasked with evacuating American civilians from the war zone.
Col. Steve Janowski is stationed in Seoul and is ordered to evacuate all Americans when North Korean troops invade the South. One reluctant to depart is Linda Day, an American who works for the relatively new United Nations. The UN condemns the invasion but the Western powers are ill-prepared to fight a war. Janowski is a good officer who quickly gains the confidence of the other soldiers around him. When he's injured by an enemy hand grenade, he and Linda are reunited and a love affair begins.
