Hans Hoy (Dirch Passer) and his beautiful, temperamental but spoiled young wife Susanne (Helle Virkner) have already disagreements in their 3 month old marriage, so she moves home to her mother. This creates a major problem for Hans because his director and uncle Bill is arriving the same day in Copenhagen from New York. Hans is afraid that uncle Bill will fire him, when he learns that his wife left him.
