Plot Storyline
A family man's encounter with a beautiful woman develops into a mutual fascination.
Successful criminal defense attorney Pierre (Francois Cluzet) has been married for 15 years. He and his wife Anne have a happy marriage and two children. One day, a friend takes him to a book launch, where he is introduced to the author Elsa (Sophie Marceau). From the very first moment, the two feel attracted to each other. But it remains at the flirting stage; they don't even exchange phone numbers. Pierre doesn't want to jeopardize his marriage, and for Elsa, a mother of three who is on the verge of divorce, a relationship with a married man is out of the question. So they return to their everyday lives, but the intense encounter continues to affect them both. They can't stop thinking about each other. Two weeks later, they meet again at a party. The mutual attraction is still there, but Pierre has come with his wife. He and Elsa agree to leave their next meeting to chance. But is it really possible to ignore such desire and not act on these strong feelings?
