Plot
Storyline
Gerald Otley, wannabe antiques dealer, is kicked out of his flat for failing to pay rent, sleeps at a friend's house for the night, wakes up two days later in an airport field, and finds himself entangled in international espionage.
In London, Gerry Otley is a layabout, albeit one not without his charms especially with the women, which is why he has a wide social circle, within which he can usually get someone, albeit reluctantly, to do what he wants. It is within that situation that he, after being evicted from his flat, is able to convince Harry Lambert for a sofa to sleep on, at least for one night, but not before he crashes a party hosted by their friends, Rollo and Jean, where he can get some food. It ends up being the wrong sofa as a series of incidents occur following the sofa. First, he awakens to find that he is no longer at Lambert's, but somewhere on the grounds of Gatwick Airport. Second, he learns that he has lost a day in it not being the next morning, but rather the morning after that. But worst may be third, he is wanted by the police for questioning, he further discovering it having to do with a murder. On top of it all, he ends up being chased a several groups of people, sometimes by a subsequent group for being seen with a group before, they all after "something" or some information which he doesn't have, or doesn't think that he has, especially as he has no idea about what they are all talking. He will eventually learn that it indeed does have to do with the murder and why it occurred.
