Plot
Storyline
Stephanie grew up in La Courneuve with an absent mother and a brutal stepfather. She struggles in this city where friendship is paramount. One day, she knows it, Stephanie will leave the city to lead the life she has always dreamed of.
La Courneuve, the 1980s. Stephanie is a model student and is determined not to spend her life in the Cite des 4000. However, neither her headmistress, nor her Tunisian Jewish mother, understand her desires elsewhere. She suffocates with this mother little cultured and dominated by Christian, whom she married a little quickly when the father of the young girl left them. Fortunately, Stephanie can count on the support of her grandmother and her great friend Fatima. This fan of Jean-Jacques Goldman is patient before taking off thanks to her passion for dance and books. In the meantime, she saw her first emotional feelings while taking care to keep her reputation intact. A film inspired by the autobiographical book of the director.
