When the new owners discover a heavily modified video camera and a cache of unsettling VHS tapes, they realise the lens can see what the human eye cannot: oily, shifting distortions bleeding into reality. But as the strange camera exposes the unseen, the family's youngest daughter begins communicating with a malevolent entity named Tobi.
