Paul, a semiotics professor and former activist, mysteriously disappears without warning his students. After his departure, the seventeen young actors he taught discover in his apartment a series of texts, quotations to reflect upon, and personal tasks to carry out. These instructions, which each student must interpret in their own way, are designed to push them to reflect on contemporary society, politics, the meaning of commitment, and their place in the world. The film is structured as a series of episodes or vignettes built around these assignments, blending reflection and experimentation while questioning the role of art and transmission.
