Sam (Naomi Watts) and her family live in Australia and fulfill a big dream by traveling to Thailand together. But this turns into a nightmare when Sam falls from the roof of a house and injures herself badly. From then on, she is paralyzed from the thoracic vertebrae down. The passionate surfer and mother of three falls into a deep emotional hole and loses her courage to face life, even though her husband Cameron (Andrew Lincoln) looks after her devotedly.
