Guerrino is a small industrialist in the wine sector who was prematurely widowed: he lives with his mother-in-law, who has a morbid relationship with him so much that he wants him as a lover. This fact, coupled with his reluctance to meet other women, makes him the target of gossip in the village, especially from the "Deep Tongue" taxi driver. One day, Guerrino falls in love with a beautiful model, Chantal. The two get married within a few days. Guerrino hopes that a child will be born from their relationship but Chantal is not thrilled with the idea. Suspicious, Guerrino begins to investigate her past and discovers that, until a few years earlier, he was a man, a German army paratrooper, who had changed sex. After an initial moment of bewilderment in which their relationship risks definitive breakup, the two finally decide to stay together, in spite of all their friends who made fun of them.
