A Postman has to deliver letters daily to many different families which had good news and bad news his wife Jaya starts to read his letters before delivering where they get emotional attachment with the people.First to come across is Bikaji Kale working since his childhood in a saw mill away from his factory when he find she has become grandfather he decides to quit his job and settle home but his owner a greedy Sethji wants to settle dues with him which he is not liable to pay.Second comes story of a army man James Kamble whose daughter Lisa is studying in a convent school and he wants to meet her by delivering the letter with help of Postman but as per school records such student does not existing the school.Third being story of a courtesan Gulzar whose waiting for her lover Vishwanath to return and free her from the brothel climax of the stories puts deep impact on the Postman and makes him think if he had done right in delivering them the news of their loved ones.
