Lisa on her flight to Miami befriends Jackson who turns out to be a terrorist. Holding her hostage, he forces her to help him assassinate the United States Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security.
Lisa Reisert, a hotel manager, is traveling home to Miami on a late-night "red-eye" flight following her grandmother's funeral. During the journey, the charming man she met at the airport, Jackson Rippner, reveals his true identity and intent: he is an operative for a terrorist organization and plans to assassinate a high-profile government official staying at Lisa's hotel. Rippner informs Lisa that her father is currently being held hostage by an accomplice and that her cooperation is required to ensure the target is moved to a specific room. Trapped on the aircraft with no way to escape, Lisa must find a way to outsmart her captor and foil the assassination plot before the plane lands.
