A tale of misguided paternal love in a dystopian future. The year is 2056. A global epidemic of organ failures has wiped out most of the human population. The mega-corporation GeneCo provides organ transplants on a payment plan. The clients who miss payments are hunted down by Repo Men, skilled assassins who "repossess" the organs. The current CEO of the company, Rotti Largo, is terminally ill and his three kids are already bickering about their inheritance. Rotti actually intends to disinherit them. Several years ago, Rotti had secretly poisoned his ex-fiancee Marni due to her choice to marry another man. Mami's surviving daughter Shilo Wallace is 17-years-old, and Rotti views her as a surrogate daughter and ideal heiress. Shilo has been raised by her overprotective biological father Nathan who always keeps her indoors, because she is suffering from a rare blood disease. The sheltered girl secretly sneaks out of the house and befriends the aging opera singer Blind Mag. After her father cruelly refuses to help Mag in her hour of need, Shilo criticizes his overbearing parenting. Rotti secretly names Shilo as his sole heir and then invites her to a night in the opera. Shilo sees Rotti murdering Mag following her last performance. As the night continues, Shilo learns dark secrets about both of her supposed fathers and witnesses their deaths. Shilo decides to flee, leaving GeneCo with no legal heirs. The rookie spokeswoman Amber assumes command over the company due to a lack of other candidates for the vacant position of the CEO.
