However, after the events of The Pink Panther (1963), the white monogrammed glove bearing the initial "P" reappeared where the famous diamond should have been, indicating that the Phantom was up to his old tricks again. Of all people, Inspector Jacques Clouseau is assigned to the case, and this time, he means business. Now, everyone is a suspect, especially Sir Charles, who claims innocence.
