The police arrive at her house at 41mins, and we see her handcuffed before being taken into custody. We later see her with her hands still cuffed behind her back (unseen) when she's at the police station, though the cuffs are quickly removed after Lisa assures the detectives they're unnecessary. In the film's climax, after it's revealed that Lisa's psychotic and vengeful half-sister is responsible for the murder, she breaks into her house while Lisa's mother Barbara (Fisher) and best friend Abby (Cope) are alone, knocking Abby out with her gun before surprising Barbara. We then cut as villainess Bethany has Barbara seated against a door, with Abby beside her sporting a gray bandanna cleave gag. After some standard villain dialogue about how she blames everyone for ruining her life and wants them to pay, Bethany becomes irritated with Barbara and gags her on-screen with a black bandanna ("There, that'll shut you up!" she snarls as she applies the gag). We're treated to a few shots of Barbara and Abby as Bethany confronts Lisa, where it's notable that Abby's gag appears thicker than Barbara's, and is tied "high-up" style. We also see that their hands are tied behind them with zipties as Barbara retrieves Abby's phone to call 911. After Bethany is killed in a police shoot-out, Barbara and Abby are ungagged and untied on-screen by Lisa and colleague Ethan, though this part is done out of view.
