Plot Storyline
Ivan and Chiara meet on a Sicilian island to organize the wedding of Ivan's brother and Chiara's friend. Although Ivan and Chiara are still in old relationships, they fall in love with each other.
On the small island of Levanzo off the coast of Sicily, Frenchman Ivan meets Chiara, an Italian woman he has never met before. The botanist and the costume designer are on the island to prepare for the wedding of Ivan's brother Richard and Chiara's best friend Francesca. At first, Ivan is discouraged; everything on the island seems very run-down, and there is still a lot of work to be done. But Chiara infects him with her optimism. Ivan feels he has something to make up for. His brother had drug problems in the past, and Ivan has not taken care of him in recent years. But Richard had long had the idea of getting married on the small island and staying in an abandoned lighthouse there, and today Ivan wants to fulfill this dream for him. As the preparations progress, Ivan and Chiara feel themselves drawn to each other, at first barely consciously, then more and more. But both hesitate. Ivan had actually given up on love, and Chiara has been with Stefano for 15 years and has a daughter with him. The two make a decision: they want to live out their feelings for each other, but only until the wedding guests arrive, and after the celebration, they never want to see each other again. But when Chiara's boyfriend Stefano calls, Ivan questions Chiara's long-term relationship and cannot bear the idea that she wants to return to Stefano. A crisis ensues.
