Hale lives in a historic house in Nevsehir with her mother, depressed grandmother, and aunt Azra. Hale's father disappeared before her birth and her behaviour becomes increasingly strange; meanwhile the family's home holds an eerie atmosphere. As events spiral, flashbacks reveal the mother's involvement in black-magic rituals and a pact with jinn meant to gain power or wealth. Hale becomes the focal point of the curse, as the jinn claim what was promised. The film explores how an earlier ritual collapses down the generations, and how innocence becomes caught in the web of past ambition.
