The latest "mailbox" item the team investigates is what on the surface appears to be an unattached item, an early model disposable camera, but which may have been intended as an actual piece of mail as a partial name and address seems to have been scribbled on it. It damaged by liquid, Norman is able to develop only the last photographs taken, the first by and of women with big hair suggesting the late 1980s, but arguably it is the last few that were taken by the sender, an adolescent, the last photo of a hand written note arguably from the sender pleading for his daddy to find him and bring him home. Further evidence suggests that they may be dealing with a current child abduction case, leading to a road trip to discover further evidence. Their confined time together out of the office may provide some indication what the two respective relationships will be like, which is only further affected by text messages Shane has and continues to receive from someone from her past.
