Small-town Michiganite Jessica Olsen just wants to stay home and hope she gets grounded until she's 30, but when her whole family prepares to visit Grandma in Los Angeles, she reluctantly goes, expecting a low-key vacation--but in fact she meets superstar Christopher Wilde, whom her older sister idolizes but she doesn't. She and Christopher go on an adventure and she starts to fall for him--only to see and hear him say on TV that he doesn't know her. She returns to Michigan heartbroken, but Christopher wants to prove that he just wants to keep her safe from the paparazzi, so he follows her to Michigan, and Jessica couldn't be happier as he asks her out on their first date.
