Plot
Storyline
A pair of ex-Rough Riders, a former prostitute, a gunfighter, an aging cowboy and an English gentleman enter a 700-mile horse race through the Southwest desert in 1908.
In 1908, the popular Western Post newspaper sponsors a demanding cross-country horse race, attracting a motley crew of ambitious contestants against a thoroughbred backed by the publisher. With a tempting $2,000 prize, the bold competitors - including plucky former prostitute Miss Jones; ex-Rough Riders Luke Matthews and Sam Clayton; a Mexican vaquero with a terrible toothache; English gentleman Sir Harry Norfolk; aging cowhand Mister, and the arrogant gunfighter Carbo - will have to endure 700 miles of unforgiving desert and rugged terrain. The race is on. Who has what it takes to bite the bullet?
