Twelve raw, undiscovered designers enter the competition to become the newest member of Rihanna's design team. Each week the contestants will be challenged in every aspect of celebrity design as they create looks for some of the biggest celebrities in the business. For the first challenge, Rihanna tasks the designers with creating designs inspired by their favorite music artists. The musical muses chosen by the designers range from Madonna and Mariah Carey to Nicki Minaj and Beyonce in the male form. While some designers thrive with the creative freedom, others struggle to keep up with their first celebrity design challenge. Rihanna hand-selected designer and recording artist Pharrell Williams, supermodel Erin Wasson and her personal stylist Mel Ottenberg to create tough design challenges, as well as mentor and judge the contestants.
