Plot
Storyline
The relationship of Clarinette and Piano through the years is definitely not the case of "Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder".
In the small town of Mont-de-Marsan in southwestern France, two young men, Clarinette and Piano, who say goodbye one June evening just before turning eighteen: Clarinette is leaving town, while Piano stays behind. Over the course of the next twelve years, the film revisits their relationship through a series of brief reunions whenever Clarinette returns home. These encounters trace the passage of time, the evolution of their feelings, and the quiet shifts in their lives, hopes, and disappointments.
