With a public relations disaster on their hands, members of the local community allegedly help Leifer flee, with her boarding a plane to Israel with three of her eight children in the dead of night. For the sisters, the escape sets in motion a decade of anger, frustration, and determination to bring Leifer back to face her crimes. When they are finally successful, having stared down pressure from their community, political corruption and endless legal manoeuvring, the question is: at what price?
