Plot
Storyline
A taxi driver and a passenger drive through Cuban villages and talk about travel, Heartbreak and human destiny. The passenger reveals taxi driver the shocking reason why he is in Cuba and asks for cooperation in his search.
Driving around the streets of Cuba, Lav Diaz - the famous Filipino director - and Gustavo Flecha - a talkative Cuban taxi driver - discuss about their jobs and the world social condition. During the ride, the real reason of the director's presence in Cuba emerges: Lav is looking for a mysterious ex-general escaped from the Philippines after the end of the Marcos dictatorship, Juan Mijares Cruz; it is said that the old man still lives hidden in the Cuban countryside, dangerously unpunished.
