Peter Parker is a seventeen year old high school student at Midtown High, he has a secret crush on Gwen Stacy and he is constantly bullied by Flash Thompson. Peter's life has changed greatly for him, ever since his parents left him when he was only four years old and he has been placed under his aunt and uncle's care for about thirteen years. Peter still wants to learn more about his past and he wants to know why his parents left him. Peter finds his father's briefcase and he learns that his father has worked at Oscorp with Dr. Curtis Connors, a brilliant scientist and herpetologist. Peter becomes determined to find answers from his father's former partner. However, Peter's life soon changes when he is bitten by a spider during his trip to Oscorp and he is granted spider-like powers. Peter soon witnesses his uncle's murder at the hands of a shoplifter and he vows to use his powers for the greater good and he names himself Spider-Man.
