Plot Storyline
A Quaker colony tries to save the giant sequoias from a timber baron.
Having set his sights on making a profit from exploiting northern California's ancient sequoia trees, the unscrupulous lumber baron and silver-tongued entrepreneur, Jim Fallon, sets out to harvest the towering Redwoods of a peaceful Quaker community. However, an unforeseen romantic complication in the shape of the idealistic resident, Alicia Chadwick, the feisty daughter of the group's spiritual leader, Elder Bixby, will set the stage for bitter rivalry and dangerous confrontation between Fallon and grasping timber harvesters. Can Jim, the rough outsider, renounce his former self for the sake of the majestic sequoias?
