Plot
Storyline
A cycle of generational trauma and religious fanaticism consumes rural Ohio and West Virginia, as a young man confronts the violent legacy of his father and the predatory sins of local authority figures.
Willard Russell returns from the horrors of the Pacific theater haunted by his own mercy killings, ultimately transferring his fractured psyche and religious obsession to his son, Arvin. The intersection of these lives creates a volatile nexus of violence.
