With Charlie Grimille's found footage now a viral internet sensation after the spooky events in The Gallows (2015), the aspiring thespian, Auna Rue, transfers to a new performing arts school, and moves in her stepsister Lisa's apartment. While struggling to make a name for herself, Auna comes across the infamous "Charlie Challenge", and bent on boosting the views on her YouTube channel, she decides to recite passages from the cursed play. Now, a sinister supernatural force seems to be at work, and the noose around the unsuspecting ones who dare to accept the challenge tightens, more and more.
