Plot
Storyline
A young man who escapes the clutches of a murderous hitchhiker is subsequently stalked by the hitcher and framed for his crimes.
Driving someone else's car from Chicago, Illinois to San Diego, California, a young man named Jim Halsey (C. Thomas Howell) picks up a hitchhiker with a taste for murder. The Police, unaware of the real murderer (John Ryder (Rutger Hauer)), blame Jim. Ryder shows super human powers in his destructive spree.
