Plot
Storyline
Dr. James Opus' quest for the secrets to a higher existence took him to the ends of the earth. Now, back home and a changed man, he must find a willing subject to test his theories and open a gateway to another dimension.
Restless Chimp Films presents The Key, an entry for the BIFA Horror Short Film Competition 2021. Inspired by the makers of Host, entrants were encouraged to make a DIY horror short film no longer than 3 minutes. The Key is the story of Dr James Opus and his search for the Harmonic. Aided by his research assistant Melissa Blunt, he spent years combing ancient manuscripts and lost ruins, only to disappear on a lone expedition. We join the quest years later when Opus has re-emerged and made contact with Melissa. But, he has changed.
