Storyline
Radio DJ Heidi is sent a box containing a record--a "gift from the Lords". The sounds within the grooves trigger flashbacks of her town's violent past. Is Heidi going mad, or are the Lords back to take revenge on Salem, Massachusetts?
In 1686, in Salem, Massachusetts, Reverend Jonathan Hawthorne burned at the stake the witch Margaret Morgan and her six-coven. On the present days, in Salem, the D.J. Heidi LaRoc works at the WLQS radio station in a late-night hard rock show with her colleagues Herman "Whitey" Salvador and Herman "Munster" Jackson. Out of the blue, Heidi receives a wooden box at the station with the album of the band The Lords. When she listens to the music with Whitey, she is deeply affected with weird visions of Satan worshipers. On the next night, the D.J.s interview the writer Francis Matthias, who has written a book about the witch trials in Salem and plays the record of The Lords, affecting several women. When Heidi, who is a former drug addicted woman, returns home, her landlady Lacy Doyle invites her to drink with her sisters Megan and Sonny. When she returns home, she has dreadful nightmares. Meanwhile, Francis talks to his wife Alice Matthias about his interview and says that the music they played is not strange to him. He researches the diary of Jonathan Hawthorne and learns Morgan's curse to his female descent. Then he researches the family tree of Heidi and finds a bleak secret.
