Plot
Storyline
A priest with a haunted past and a novice on the threshold of her final vows are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force in the form of a demonic nun.
Romania, 1952. To shed light on Sister Victoria's puzzling suicide case, troubled exorcist Father Burke and his idealistic assistant, novice nun Sister Irene, visit Saint Cartha's monastery. However, some doors are best left closed. As blood-chilling supernatural encounters place the unsuspecting investigators in harm's way, the ancient secret behind the abbey's thick stone walls resurfaces. But their lives are in grave danger; the sinister force exposed in The Conjuring 2 (2016) exists only to torment. Now, repentance is futile.
