Giant LA debt collector and bounty hunter Beck and would be-chef dreams of earning capital to start his own restaurant. Mobster boss Billy Walker offers him enough -$250,00- if he can retrieve the maverick son, in debt with archaeology student Travis, deep from the Amazon. He is found in the hands of Cornelius Hatcher, the almighty owner of the gold mine and only employer in the desolate jungle town El Dorado, where his armed thugs whip debtor workers like slaves. Even offered the asked $10,000 ransom, Hatcher refuses, having learned Travis in on the trail of a legendary, solid-golden tribal idol 'Gato del Diablo' (devil's feline). Beck frees Travis, finds him unwilling to return to LA but is determined to force him, causing an escape game, complicated by the town's only barmaid Mariana, whom Travis believed his lover, actually a leader of the armed rebels, who need the gold, with Hatcher on their tail and everybody even more prepared to play dirty after Travis actually find the treasury.
