Cameraman Samar Kumar works as a Hindi news reporter for EBT News in entertainment section.While Manika Rajpurohit is one of the top news anchors for the same channel who covers English news. During the Sabarmati Express train incident Manika travels to Godhra to cover the news while Samar accompanies her as the cameraman.Upon reaching Godhra junction Samar and Manika see blood allover and burnt bodies being taken out of the train.Manika covers the whole tragedy which has caused after communal riots between two religious group and asks Samar to reach Delhi with the coverage at channel's office.But Samar finds things being framed and visits some surviving victims and finds a complete different story on the incident.He covers another tape and gives it to the channel but media barons back stab him and show Manika's fake reporting coverage. When Samar objects Manika and the channel fire him from his job and make his life miserable. After being jobless Samar turns alcoholic doing small work for survival but five years later a young reporter Amrita from EBT approaches him to cover Sabarmati Report and dig out the hidden truth behind the train tragedy.
