Plot
Storyline
A young governess is hired to look after an orphaned girl, but the return of the girl's problematic brother uncovers secrets from their past. A modern take on Henry James' novella "The Turn of the Screw."
Free spirited teacher Kate becomes governess to a young girl and unexpectedly her troubled older brother. Competing with their housekeeper of 40 years for the attention and loyalty of the children she finds her self hurled into a mysterious conundrum involving the two children's deceased older brother. The back story of Kate's mentally ill mother left me wondering what happened at the end. Still a dynamic performance by Mackenzie Davis who is riveting in her role.
