In the winter of 2016, the Calais Jungle was a burgeoning city, home to nearly twelve thousand people. At the beginning of spring, the southern zone, with its shops, streets, and homes, was completely destroyed. The evicted residents then moved their homes to the northern zone, seeking shelter and a way to continue living. In the autumn, the state organized the final dismantling of the Jungle. But the Jungle is a dynamic territory, a global city, a city of the future; even when destroyed, it always rises from its ashes. Filmed with young people caught in the turmoil of war, police violence, and their attempts to cross the border into England.
