Plot
Storyline
Confined in an apartment from a New York housing project, the six Angulo brothers learned everything they know about the world through watching films and spend their time reenacting their favorite movies with intricate homemade costumes.
A fascinating insight into how one family lives. Two parents, six sons and one daughter managed to stay isolated in one of the world's largest and most populated cities, New York. Heavily influenced by the father who fears what the people on the other side of the front door of their apartment could do to them, he forbids them from interacting with anyone else. The mother homeschools the children and the seemingly never ending supply of films makes up their education. With great dedication to detail and the creation of props and costumes, the six young men recreate their favourite films and record them. One day, however, one son decides to venture out into the streets beyond their inner sanctum.
