Plot
Storyline
Following over two dozen different people in the almost wordless atmosphere of a dark night in a Brussels town, Akerman examines acceptance and rejection in the realm of romance.
Toute une nuit takes place over a hot, stormy summer night in Brussels, where dozens of men, women, and children wander the city streets, bars, cafes, and apartments unable to sleep. Through a series of fragmentary vignettes, the film shows people meeting, parting, embracing, dancing, and yearning for connection or desire, capturing the fleeting emotions and erotic encounters that unfold until dawn.
