One day, a friend takes him to a book launch, where he is introduced to the author Elsa (Sophie Marceau). From the very first moment, the two feel attracted to each other. Pierre doesn't want to jeopardize his marriage, and for Elsa, a mother of three who is on the verge of divorce, a relationship with a married man is out of the question.
