Plot
Storyline
An American POW leads a group of mainly British prisoners to escape from the Germans in WWII.
Col. Ryan of the US Army is shot down in Italy and taken to a prison camp. He's to lead prisoners on an escape. But not all the soldiers trust him at first, due to mistakes he's made. It's up to Ryan to win the support of the mainly British soldiers whose lives he's trying to save.
