Plot Storyline
When a cartoon rabbit is accused of murder, he enlists the help of a burnt out private investigator to prove his innocence.
Roger Rabbit is the great attraction of the Maroon Cartoon Studios. However, he is not concentrating well in the script and the owner of the studio, R.K. Maroon, believes the reason is the rumors that Roger's wife Jessica Rabbit is having an affair. He hires the alcoholic private investigator Eddie Valiant to investigate the veracity of the rumors. Eddie was a top-rated detective that worked with his brother Teddy, who was murdered by a toon during an investigation, and presently he has hatred for toons. Eddie sees the show of Jessica at a club and photographs Jessican and Marvin Acme, who is the owner of the Acme Corporation and the Toontown, playing patty-cake with Jessica in her the dressing room. When Roger sees the photos, he does not believe that Jessica was unfaithful and leaves the Maroon Studios. On the next morning, Marvin Acme is found murdered and Roger becomes the prime suspect. While at the crime-scene, Eddie meets the sinister Toomtown's Judge Doom and his and his five weasel minions and he says that he intends to destroy Roger using the Dip, a chemical mixture that he invented. Soon Eddie learns from Baby Herman the possible motive that Acme was murdered and together with his wife Dolores, they decide to help Roger Rabbit and confirm the motive why Acme was murdered. But the question remains: who framed Roger Rabbit?
