Plot
Storyline
A famous movie actor (Peter O'Toole) claims that he has written a book. As result, a real author, not a very well known writer, vengenfully kills him but then dies as a result of an accident. Next, they both find themselves in after-life, where souls of all famous people are gathered.
An aging movie star is shot by a young writer and finds himself in a strange world between life and death, which functions as a luxurious hotel for those remembered by the living. There, those who became famous on Earth enjoy the utmost comfort. When the young author also dies and ends up in this hotel, the actor wants to know why he was killed, thereby transferring a rivalry between the two into this "in-between world."
