Plot
Storyline
A lonely 9-year-old boy makes a new friend when he discovers a magical little man inside of a cupboard, but when one of the man's spells goes awry, the boy's entire family is shrunk down to four inches in height.
Johannes Blom, aged nine, lives with his father and mean sister, a but lonely till he suddenly gets the secret company of a wiplala, a kind of elf, who doesn't even have a given name, and needs to learn handling his magical powers, mainly to shrink entities. The family all get miniaturized, and find out the hard way about the risks involved in the adult world with immature magic, although Wiplala does his sincere best to help them out of every pickle till he can rejoin his elf kind with minimal skill.
