A poor and not particularly handsome clerk, Stefanos Avgerinos, and his namesake, the famous poet, Stefanos Avgerinos, head to the small island of Poros. To prove that women want him for his looks, his character, and not for his fame, the young poet decides to visit the isle incognito; however, as things don't go exactly as planned, the insignificant clerk will mysteriously manage to gain the attention of the female population. In the end, is notability the ultimate aphrodisiac?
