A Magical Christmas Village

It's the Christmas season. Architect Summer Ashby has a Christmas Eve deadline to complete a commercial renovation for a city owned building, she being true to its historic nature. Within this busy schedule, she takes on another task: temporarily taking in her homeless free-spirited mother Vivian Todd, who had to move out of her now ex-boyfriend's house without having another housing situation in place despite having known for some time that the house was on the market. Summer has felt the need to look after Vivian since Summer's father passed away when she was a teenager, whereas Vivian has never asked her to do so in feeling that the universe will take care of her. While Summer takes in her mother with some reluctance, Summer's teenage daughter Chloe Ashby is looking forward to spending more time with her grandmother especially now at Christmas. Among Vivian's possessions is a miniature Christmas replica of the town which she has always believed has magic qualities and which Chloe embraces. Concurrently, Summer meets structural engineer Ryan Scott, new to town and who has taken over the Christmas toy drive which Summer has organized in past years. While she has not felt a spark with anyone since Chloe's father, Summer feels an immediate spark with Ryan, who somewhat feels the same toward her. The issue with Ryan is his hesitance in another relationship following a messy divorce, and he trying to find his post-divorce life in its entirety. What Summer, Ryan and Chloe don't know is that much of what happens between Summer and Ryan is being manipulated by Chloe in she moving the miniature figurines around the Christmas village. Chloe's manipulations can only accomplish so much as both Summer and Ryan have be open to and embrace what is happening between them.
