All the Boys Are Called Patrick

Veronique (Nicole Berger) and Charlotte (Anne Collette) are roommates; they are subletting a house in Montparnasse together. They make a date to meet later at a park. While one is waiting, reading at the park, Patrick (Jean-Claude Brialy) starts talking to her until she finally acknowledges him and they go to an outdoor cafe for drink. He claims to be studying law. In the meantime, the other shows up at the park, just missing the couple. The first girl tentatively agrees to meet him at 9 pm. at a Cinema tomorrow night. A few minutes later, he happens upon her roommate and picks her up in the same aggressive manner. He also uses similar lines of dialogue except claiming to be pre-engineering. They also agree to meet on the same night as the roommate. Later, they compare notes but don't realize anything other than both dates being named Patrick. The next afternoon, while browsing on the sidewalk, their Patrick walks by with a third woman whom he has obviously also picked up, putting her in a taxi cab. When he spies them nearby on the sidewalk, spooked, he joins the woman in the taxi and they drive away. The girls both point him out as "My Patrick!" Amused, they then decide to stand him up and go out together instead.
