After years of hard work, the skilled female workers of a small garment factory find themselves confronted with the ugly side of free-market capitalism. However, overseer Armida and a handful of colleagues summon up the strength to move on with their lives and, refusing to take the situation lying down, decide to produce their lingerie line. In the meantime, a rapacious property developer has set his sights on turning a nearby convent into a luxurious resort.
