Black as the Snow: Dead at the Summit

The wreckage of a van used for a heist in Switzerland is discovered at the foot of a cliff in the French mountains. Once again the High Mountain Gendarmerie Platoon (the PGHM) rescuer Constance Vivier teams up with Swiss Police Officer Captain Andreas Meyer. The bank security guard taken as hostage is found dead in the van. The forensics shows one of the robbers as Boris Karabetian. Since they have difficulties tracking down the 3 criminals, they ask for help from Daniele Pietro, a hermit hunter living nearby with her daughter Skadi Pietro, who happens to be a new friend of Andreas Meyer's daughter Violette Meyer. In the search, the second robber Antoine's corpse is found. The investigators learn of Stephane Morel as the third robber from Antoine's girlfriend Louise Decauchet. The investigators track down Karabetian and Morel, halting Karabetian's torturing Morel for the diamonds' whereabouts. They save Morel but Karabetian escapes. Morel identifies Karabetian as the person killing the security guard but denies the knowledge of the diamonds' whereabouts. The forensics shows Antoine got pushed off the cliff, so the pusher must possess the diamonds. When Karabetian takes Skadi and Violette as hostage, Pietro shoots him in his head. While the investigators begin to suspect the relationship between Pietro and Decauchet, he strangles her. After Skadi finds out what her dad's doing with Decauchet, she confesses that she ran into Antoine while he was hiding the diamonds and that her push is self-defense. Out of fear, she took the diamonds home to her dad. The investigators come to realize that Daniele Pietro and Decauchet are the ones who help Antoine hide from the police. Both Daniele Pietro and Skadi are arrested.
